Lauren loves to color!

Tonight I was working on the computer while Lauren was playing with my hair.  She went into the bathroom and got twisties and ribbons.  So I wasn't really paying attention to her and just let her do her thing.  Then I noticed a different kind of a sound coming from my hair area.  I looked at Lauren and she had a green marker and was putting green stripes in my hair.  The sound was the sound of marker squeaking through my hair.  I said,

"What are you doing!?"

"Doing your hair."

"You don't color in people's hair!"

"Why not?"

"Because it's mean to color people's hair green!"

And she, in her cute little voice shyly said, "And blue."  She instantly melted me.  I couldn't be mad at her anymore.  She was so sweet and honest with me about coloring my hair green and blue that I just couldn't say anything else to her about it.  And the bonus is that when I looked in the mirror I couldn't see any marker so I don't think it worked.  But it is in a place that I can't see very well.  It's amazing how your kids can make you so mad and at the same time you totally love them to death.

Somebody once told me that if they weren't so darn cute, we'd give them away!

Ha Ha! The other day I was telling someone about the time we were babysitting and my brother cut my sisters hair when she wasn't looking.

Also, cute blog background. Where did you get it?

What a sweet story. I'm a sucker for my hair being played with. I'm sure green hair is a good look for you. ;)

I just love hearing about Lauren! She makes me laugh. I wish we could see inside our kids' heads and see how they work and what they think! Oh, the simple logic they have! Really, when you stop and listen to their logic it is hard to be mad at them...at least they were thinking, they just didn't know better. Thanks for sharing.
