Tut Tut Tut

I know you're all shocked that I'm actually posting something, but this was too good to pass up.  I had to work today and when I got home, the first thing I noticed was Lauren's hair.  She had cut herself some bangs while playing downstairs during William's nap.  She said that she was just tired of her hair being in her face.  Little does she know that now her hair will be in her face even more.  She did a pretty good job though.  She even got two different layers in.  What talent!  Matt hadn't noticed her hair yet so she had gotten away with it for several hours.  She thought she was home free, but she thought wrong.  I asked her to show me where she had done it so she took me downstairs.  Apparently, she didn't just cut her own hair.  She cut off one of her Barbie's hair, two My Little Pony's tails, and the hair off of two of my dolls that I had has a child.  I asked her why she cut off the tails and she said that they kept stepping on their tails so she cut them off.  What a stinker!  There was hair everywhere as well as in a white basket that you see in the picture.  I've talked to her about cutting her hair and I thought she understood and wouldn't ever do it without me.  Well I thought WRONG!  I didn't really punish her this time because I remembering doing that when I was little too.  But if it happens again......
Here are the dolls.  The Barbie actually looks quite stylish.  She kind of reminds me of the haircuts that Edward Scissorhands would give.  Short on one side and a few inches longer on the other.  My personal favorite is the doll in the yellow dress.  I made her in Young Women's when I was a wee gal.  And if she wasn't already ugly enough, Lauren completely chopped off her pigtails which gives her an awesome mohawk.  Lauren should totally become a beautician.  She shows some real talent!

That is hilarious- in a "thank heavens it's not my child" kind of way! :) I think she has a very bright future as a hair stylist! Good for you for taking pictures and trying to laugh it off! I am sure Tayla's try at hair stylin' won't be too far away! :(

Nice cut! I have strange hopes that my kids will cut MY hair off so that I can justify chopping it all off, like I said, strange.
She's awesome!

Oh my word, that is hilarious. I did that, too. Peter cut a tiny bit of his in Kindergarten, but that's it so far. That isn't to say that it won't happen sometime. At least you're not like my sis in law...her little girl kept cutting her hair so short that they just shaved it down to 1". They started calling her "Butch".
