The chub named Ryan

Here you go Lindsey

It's official. His name is Ryan Jay Brown. It was quite the struggle to pick a name for this guy and we literally decided as we were leaving the hospital. But we really like it and think that it suits him. Will was kind of upset because he thought that his name should be Baby Boy, but he's getting used to it. The kids really love having a baby brother. They want to hold him constantly and as soon as they wake up in the morning they come running into my room to look for the baby. And sorry I don't post very often, we don't have the internet right now so I had to wait until we came to my mom's house.

Lauren looks so old to me in this picture. She starts her second year of preschool next week and she is so excited.

The Friday before I had the baby we were coming home from a birthday party and Will tripped up our porch steps. Well, if you haven't seen our porch it's made out of brick so it's extra sharp. He cut his head open so we had to make an after hours trip to the ER. Unfortunately we had to go to the ER because the Instacare was closed and the doctor's office. He ended up getting 3 stitches and he was so good. He cried when they numbed it, but then he calmed down was did awesome while they sewed him up. Isn't he a handsome boy?

Ryan had jaundice after he was born. It wasn't high enough to have him under lights, but I had to take him to the hospital every day thru Saturday to get him tested. Luckily, the level peaked so we didn't have to go back on Sunday. He still looks a little yellow, but it's going away.

Check out the hair!

This is one of my favorite pictures from the hospital. He looks so sweet.

Blake & Michelle

My brother Blake was married to Michelle on May 1st. It was a gorgeous wedding! They got married in the Salt Lake temple and their reception was up at Sundance. Matt took tons of pictures, but he's more of a candid guy so this is the only picture that we have of the bride and groom. I have no idea who those other people are so just ignore them.

Lauren got a hold of the camera and took these two pictures.

My aunt Keri made the cake. Isn't it beautiful?

We had a cardboard cut out of my brother Tom there since he's on his mission. Matt put him behind the flowers and took this so that we could tease Tom that we love him so much that this is where we put him. Really he was standing in the line next to my dad.

The rest of the pictures were taken at the temple. It was a beautiful day, although cloudy. May is a great time to get married for the pictures. The flowers were amazing. Lauren and Jordan loved their dresses. They were really flowy and could spin really could.

What a beautiful temple!

Tut Tut Tut
I know you're all shocked that I'm actually posting something, but this was too good to pass up. I had to work today and when I got home, the first thing I noticed was Lauren's hair. She had cut herself some bangs while playing downstairs during William's nap. She said that she was just tired of her hair being in her face. Little does she know that now her hair will be in her face even more. She did a pretty good job though. She even got two different layers in. What talent! Matt hadn't noticed her hair yet so she had gotten away with it for several hours. She thought she was home free, but she thought wrong. I asked her to show me where she had done it so she took me downstairs. Apparently, she didn't just cut her own hair. She cut off one of her Barbie's hair, two My Little Pony's tails, and the hair off of two of my dolls that I had has a child. I asked her why she cut off the tails and she said that they kept stepping on their tails so she cut them off. What a stinker! There was hair everywhere as well as in a white basket that you see in the picture. I've talked to her about cutting her hair and I thought she understood and wouldn't ever do it without me. Well I thought WRONG! I didn't really punish her this time because I remembering doing that when I was little too. But if it happens again......
Here are the dolls. The Barbie actually looks quite stylish. She kind of reminds me of the haircuts that Edward Scissorhands would give. Short on one side and a few inches longer on the other. My personal favorite is the doll in the yellow dress. I made her in Young Women's when I was a wee gal. And if she wasn't already ugly enough, Lauren completely chopped off her pigtails which gives her an awesome mohawk. Lauren should totally become a beautician. She shows some real talent!

Matt's photoshoot
On Sunday, in between conference sessions, Matt went out with the kids and took a lot of pictures. He probably took hundreds, mostly of inanimate objects, but I'm only posting a few a the ones of the kids. This is a pictures of Lindsey's daughter, Jordan. She's 3.
They were playing on the tramp and their hair was very staticy. (I don't know how to spell that word.)
Somehow, she got some major air. I'm sure it wasn't her own doing.
She got the scab on her nose from a tower of blocks tipping over on her. I've been waiting since her birthday to get her 4 year pictures taken, but she constantly has a wound on her face. Go figure!
Thanks to beautiful weather and Matt's photog skills, we got some great pictures that I love.
Static City!
I finally have pictures!
At the beginning of March, we went to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point. It was pretty cool and the kids loved it. So much to do and look at.
Will being Will.
William turned two on April 2nd. He practiced and practiced to be able to hold up two fingers without any help and by the time his birthday came he was able to do it. Now he is quite the expert.
William loves, I mean LOVES balls, so for his birthday cake I made a football and lots of baseball and basketball cupcakes. He thought it was so cool. He was so excited for his birthday and couldn't wait to blow out the candles. He even practiced blowing out the candles so he would be really good when the moment came. He is such a cute little boy and we are so happy that he is part of our family.

It's A Boy!
Or so we think. I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and because I kind of have an 'in' with the doctor he asked me if I wanted to take a peak and see if we could see what we were having. Of course I said yes because being in my line of work there's no way I could not find out. And I've been having crazy dreams lately about the gender of the little one that are driving me crazy. I dreamt a few weeks ago that it was a boy and then the night before we found out, I dreamt that I had the baby and Matt had missed it. We didn't know what it was and I wasn't allowed to take the diaper off until he came. I was going nuts! Anyway, so Matt left work and came down and we took a look. The girl told us that it was a boy and the first thing out of Lauren's lips was, "Oh MAN!!" She was a little disappointed, but she's okay with it now. I told her that she was going to have two princes so that cheered her up. The picture of the little guy wasn't extremely clear to me like it was with Will so I'm still a little skeptical, but only like 2%. He is only 15 weeks big. We'll have the real ultrasound in another 4 weeks and then we'll know for sure and can make sure that everything else is going well with his growth. We're really excited to have another little man running around the house. A little bummed for Lauren's sake, but really excited because William has been so much fun. Plus, I know I can handle two William's, but I'm not sure if I could handle two Lauren's. So far, Lauren wants to name him Will Will. We're getting really creative here. So anyway, I'm really excited to know so that I'll stop dreaming about it. Thanks Dr. Judd and your office staff!! You're the best!
